Having not starting his music career until the age of 20, Smitty got a much later start than most. This didn't see to be much of an issue for the New Jersey native, who quickly ran through the Jersey bar & club scene and in 2010 a chance meeting with NYC DJ/Producer Raffael De Luca landed Smitty a residency at the famed Greenwich Village supper club, Le Souk Harem, and a solid spot in the New York City club circuit.
After a long series of various mixtapes, DJ Smitty launched The Famous Nights Starrcast. Named after his good friend Starr Peralta who tragically passed away in 2012 at only 23, Smitty doesn't consider the podcast his but rather refers to it as "their" show. Every episode can always be found on Starr's Facebook wall before it's posted anywhere else. The Starrcast has quickly taken off, becoming one of the most popular and sought after shows to subscribe to, creating a growing international fan base from countries like London, Brazil, & Spain.
With his popularity and fanbase rapidly growing in NYC, Smitty has started to see bookings from cities such as Boston and Miami, having played at the WMC in 2013. With more bookings on the horizon, be sure to keep an eye out for Smitty and make sure to catch him when he hits a town near you!
